Visiting Assistant Professor in the Department of International and Comparative Labor
The ILR School at Cornell University invites applications for a one-year visiting faculty position at the Assistant Professor level in the Department of International and Comparative Labor to begin August 2010. Applications are encouraged from Ph.D. candidates as well as those who have completed their doctorates during the previous three years. Applicants should have research and teaching interests in international and comparative labor issues, and may come from any field or discipline, including international political economy, globalization studies, comparative labor politics, labor sociology and social movements, public policy, anthropology or other fields. Applications are especially encouraged from those with expertise in a specific world region, such as East Asia, Southeast Asia, Africa, or Europe. Evidence of strong teaching ability is required. The successful candidate will teach two courses of his or her choosing each semester for a total of four courses in 2010-11.
