"Thanks to all of you who supported us in our struggle, wrote letters and emails, and made phone calls. We could not have done it without you!" says Labor Center Assistant Director Nina Triffleman.
While the immediate crisis has been weathered, the Labor Center still faces major challenges. Thee budget has been cut in half for the 2 years from July 2009-June 2011, and the college has made no commitment to restore it in the future.
Nonetheless, the Labor Center is forging ahead with its work, and has started a new progam UNION POWER (Programs On Worker Education and Rights). Visit their website for more information.
